AN UNLAWFUL — AND THEREFORE INVALID — TREATY

Joining the struggle of the Armenians living in Armenia and in various countries of the world — we express our protest — condemning and rejecting the Russian-Turkish treaty of «brotherhood and friendship», concluded 100 years ago — in Moscow on March 16 , 1921, whose disastrous, fateful consequences for the Armenian people continue to this day.
By this treaty, considered invalid from the standpoint of international law, a part of the Republic of Armenia passed to Turkey — the province of Kars, which, like the region of Nakhichevan placed as an autonomous territory under the trusteeship of Azerbaijan, is today deprived of the natives who had lived in their homeland for millennia — the Armenians, and of the cultural heritage they created — as a consequence of the criminal policy consistently carried out against the Armenian population.
